About me
I´m Irene...
I like people, and I like nature. Maybe because I see something similar in both.
I believe that, just as a tree grows toward the light spontaneously, we humans also have a natural tendency toward health, integration, and development. However, there are times when that path becomes harder to follow.
Sometimes life changes suddenly. Other times, it’s us who change on the inside.
Becoming a mother. A breakup. A loss. A new life stage. A crisis that forces us to question who we are.
And it’s precisely in those moments that old wounds—ones that had remained hidden until then—tend to resurface. Painful experiences, recurring patterns, fears, or conflicts that can no longer be put off.
That’s where I come in.
I support people who are going through transformative processes and who feel that something in their lives needs to be understood, processed, or integrated. My work consists of helping them make sense of what is happening, addressing the wounds that arise along the way, and fostering a kinder, more authentic relationship with themselves.
I am a psychologist, therapist, and also a mother.
Life changes have the power to stir up deep layers of our history. They not only transform us moving forward; they also bring us into contact with aspects of ourselves that need to be heard and cared for.
Because often, suffering is not an enemy to be eliminated, but a message trying to make its way into our consciousness.
I work from a humanistic and integrative perspective, with a special interest in trauma, relationships, processes of change, and the symbolic world of dreams.
My work consists of accompanying you through that process.
I’m also an illustrator. I draw what arises from within me—feel free to take a look at my illustrations.
My education
I have always been fascinated by people and the way in which the mind, emotions, and body are intertwined. That curiosity led me to study Psychology at the University of Salamanca.
Later, I completed a Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology at the UEMC and a Master’s Degree in Third Generation Therapies at the International University of Valencia. I also trained as a Personal Coaching Expert at Bircham University, integrating tools that expand the way I accompany each person according to their needs.
Over the years, I have continued to explore different paths:
🌱 Gestalt Humanistic Therapy
🌙 Dream integration from a Jungian approach
🌿 Integrative psychotherapy for trauma treatment
My way of working is nourished by all this experience, but also by my own personal experience as a patient and as a therapist. I know how difficult it can be to open up and, at the same time, how transformative it is to be truly listened to.
✨ Today, I accompany adults in individual, couple, and family processes. My purpose is to offer a safe, empathetic, and humane space where each person can recognize themselves and move forward without haste or judgment.
My influences
Throughout my career, I have been nourished by many influences that have shaped my understanding of psychology and counseling. Among them are Carl Rogers, with his person-centered approach and focus on the healing power of empathy; Abraham Maslow, who showed the importance of self-actualization and looking toward human potential; Carl Jung, with his profound vision of the unconscious, symbols, and archetypes; and Fritz Perls, creator of Gestalt therapy, who inspires me to work from present experience and authentic contact.
Beyond psychology, I am also inspired by philosophical and spiritual currents such as Socrates, with his search for truth through dialogue; Taoism, which reminds me of the importance of flowing with the processes of life; and yoga, which integrates body and mind into a single experience of presence.
In addition to these theoretical and philosophical references, I have been fortunate to learn directly from great teachers such as Ana Moves and Francisco Yuste, who have been fundamental guides on my path. Their teaching has not only left its mark on my professional training, but also on my way of being in the world and accompanying other people.
Together, all these influences have allowed me to build my own integrative and open approach, which seeks to honor both the richness of psychological thought and the wisdom that comes from other points of view.
Meditation, wellness and holistic experiences, gifted with devotion, love, patience and care.
